Three-Four Year Old Teachers

Susan Altman
I have been a member of the TBS community for over a decade and my three children were active participants in the TBS learning programs. Before teaching at TBS, I worked in operations, senior management and fundraising for various non-profits, directing annual fundraising campaigns, coordinating volunteers, overseeing the board of trustees and executing events. I bring my organizational and relational skills to the classroom each day as I work to build strong bonds with children and their families. I bring joy to the classroom through active learning experiences including music and cooking. |

As an educator, I am committed to creating a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to learn. I aim to provide experiences that are joyful, meaningful, and rooted in exploration and discovery. I believe that education should be accessible to all children, regardless of background—every child deserves an excellent early childhood education during these formative years. I’m especially passionate about sensory play and getting messy in the classroom—giving children the freedom to explore materials in their own unique way. Prior to joining the TBS community, I worked as the Health and Fitness Coordinator at Ready Set Kids and as a preschool teacher in their STEM-based Reggio program. As a mother to a child who attends TBS, I’ve had the joy of experiencing the TBSCC community through her eyes, and I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a place that nurtures children with such care and intention. |
Brianna Batard-Pierre
I have a BA from Fisher College. Before coming to TBS I worked at the Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest where I supported students with on-the-job youth development training. I also helped to run programs and events. I love being part of the community at TBS and in the classroom you can often find me dancing and singing with my students. |

I developed love for children while engaging in various positions anywhere from mother’s helper to working at a daycare center. I am an early child education major at American University and working at TBS Children's Center allows me the hands on experience I’d like to gain. I strongly believe that all children should get equal learning opportunities and care to enable them to succeed in the world. My favorite part of working with children is the opportunity to be a part of their lives, watching them grow and flourish. |

As an educator, my goal is to create a positive learning environment that inspires children to ask questions and have hands-on experiences. The classroom must be a safe space where children are encouraged to express themselves and feel heard and understood. I love constructing meaningful learning opportunities where children can expand their social-emotional skills while having fun. On a personal note, I also enjoy sharing my passion for Judaism and Hebrew with the community. I lived in Israel for five years and earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum Development from Bar Ilan University. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Jewish Studies from Muhlenberg College. |
Leslie Forman
I happily returned to the world of early childhood education 6 years ago after working in summer camp administration and publishing for many years. I have a Bachelor's degree in literature from Brandeis University, and a Master's degree in publishing studies from New York University. One of my favorite parts about teaching is sharing my love of books with the children and watching their excitement as they develop pre-literacy skills. I have a background in gymnastics and dance, and I enjoy incorporating movement into the curriculum. As a teacher, I aim to discover not only what is special about each child, but also what brings them joy. |

As an educator, I am deeply committed to making a difference and witnessing the growth I help nurture in children. I strive to create a classroom that balances fun and learning, where every child feels safe, appreciated, and loved. I believe that true education supports the whole child—emotionally, socially, and academically—and is essential to becoming a successful and grounded person. You can often find me with the children, engaged in conversation or immersed in play, building strong connections along the way. Before joining TBS, I worked as a paraprofessional and an ABA coach. |

I studied Early Childhood Education at Mount Ida College, where I earned a Bachelors in Liberal Arts in Sciences with a focus in Education. I am passionate about teaching and have always worked with young children, in schools, childcare, babysitting and camps. |
Chase Lydon
I have worked with children ages 3-11 in arts and play centered spaces for many years. I studied art and counseling, and I love using art as a means of exploration of the world around us. I am so happy to be at TBS where I can aid in and share joy in children's growth, exploration, and all their incredible milestones and accomplishments in their early education! |

I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 10 years and I have been a teacher at TBSCC for nearly a decade. I believe in fostering children’s love of learning by providing rich play based experiences and striving to build strong connections with children and their families. I am also thrilled to be a parent at TBS as my daughter is in Pre-K and my son is beginning his journey in the Ones. Before joining the TBS community, I was a lead teacher at the Early Childhood Learning Lab at Boston University. I am a Double Terrier, having graduated with both my Masters in Literacy and Language Education and my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from BU. |
