Working in a classroom, I have learned the importance of every child feeling safe and welcome. In the classroom, I reach to make every child heard, in an environment where learning and exploration is promoted. Some of my favorite activities to organize with the class are scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, and art projects. Each of these activities allows the children to creatively problem solve and corroborate with one another, strengthening their class community. I have worked in the Temple Beth Shalom Children's Center for several years, with both the ones and twos for up to five days a week. I love not only expanding my own TBS community but the TBS community of those around me. |

Through my experience working in a classroom, I have learned that the most important thing is creating an environment for the children in which they feel comfortable and safe. I strive to make sure that every child is encouraged to try new things, make meaningful connections with those around them, and share their voice. I think that it is of the utmost importance that every child feel appreciated, safe, and nurtured so that they are able to grow and mature within the TBS Community. I have worked with children at TBS for many years, and am eager to help children along their journey to find their own unique selves. I strongly value the importance of hands on learning, which is why encourage kids to learn and explore through play based exploration. |

I have worked at TBS as a madrichimot intern and summer counselor since I was in 8th grade, working with first and second graders and then preschoolers. I love the work more each year and have grown through the experience. Working with kids brings me joy! |
